Vehicle seized for no tax linked to report of males poaching in COOLING STREET, ROCHESTER

Evening,

Officers responded to reports of suspected poaching activity between Cooling Street and Cooling.

Multiple patrols attended the area, resulting in two individuals being stopped and searched. Enquiries were carried out and officers remained in the area to provide reassurance and gather information.

During the patrol, a vehicle was located nearby and was linked to one of the stopped individuals.  Checks showed that it was not taxed. As the vehicle was found on the public highway, it was seized, and the keeper has been reported to the DVLA for consideration of prosecution.

We will continue to act on information provided by the community and encourage anyone with concerns about rural crime or suspicious activity to report it to us.
